My Research

My background is in Hawaiian perspectives on resource management and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. I am interested in the intersection between marine research and the humanities, community-based research, and conservation specific to Hawaiʻi. Joining the Coral Resilience lab has provided me the opportunity to assist with experiments relating to the thermal tolerance of juvenile corals as well as working alongside subsistence living communities whose livelihood depends on the health of the reef.
